I've been making amigurumi ponies, such as the above, for a little while now, and I'm finally confident enough in my skills and my pattern to sell them. Here's some basic info if you're interested in purchasing one.

Specs
Each pony is about 5 in tall and 5 in long (not including mane and tail).

Ponies are made from acrylic yarn, acrylic felt, and aluminum wire. I occasionally use one yarn that is a wool/mohair blend. If you have any allergies or sensitivities to these materials, let me know beforehand and I will do my best to accommodate, though I cannot make any guarantees. If you let me know of allergies/sensitivities beforehand, I will not sell you a pony containing those materials, but I cannot promise that I will be able to make a pony that meets your requirements.

Character Options
I do not have every color of yarn and felt under the sun, so I cannot make every possible character. In fact, my yarn selection right now is a bit limited.

Additionally, the pattern I made currently only allows for earth pony, pegasus, and unicorn mares with a body shape like that of the mane six. I could also make an alicorn mare with pegasus wings and a mane six-like body shape. I am working on a pattern for show-style alicorn wings. I do not have a pattern for folded pegasus wings. Eye shapes can also be tricky. If the pony you are interested in purchasing has an unusual eye shape, ask me first and I will let you know whether or not I will be able to make it.

Here is a list of some canon characters for whom I do have yarn/felt in the appropriate colors and who have features I can crochet:
  • Applejack (I do not have tan yarn for her hat, but I do have tan felt. If you purchase Applejack, you will get a removable felt hat.)
  • Fluttershy
  • Rainbow Dash
  • Twilight Sparkle
  • Suri Polomare
  • Spa ponies (Aloe and Lotus Blossom)
  • Lyra Heartstrings
  • Sunshower Raindrops
  • Golden Harvest (AKA Carrot Top)
  • Daisy/Flower Wishes
  • Apple Honey

If you are interested in purchasing a different pony or an OC, please ask me and provide me with a colored image reference and I will let you know if I have the materials to make that pony. If you are interested in purchasing a pony sans cutie mark, you will probably have a wider range of canon ponies to choose from and I will offer a 10 USD discount (so you would pay 90 USD + shipping).

If there is a pony that you would be interested in purchasing with a physical feature for which I do not currently have a pattern (for instance, Flutterbat wings, or the body type of a filly or stallion), please comment. I will determine which features I create patterns for first based on interest.

Pricing
The price for an amigurumi pony is 100 US dollars, or 90 USD if the pony does not come with a cutie mark. This does not include shipping. If you purchase an amigurumi pony, you will pay any and all shipping costs. (Shipping probably won't be that much, though. If you live in the US and don't want any added shipping services, I think it's only about 6 USD. If you live outside of the US, let me know what country and I can check how much shipping would be.)

I require at least 50 USD up front and you can pay the remainder + shipping after I finish the pony and send you images of it. I will not ship the pony until I have received 100% of the cost. I will not accept dA points or any other virtual currency. If you want to purchase a pony, I will send you a Paypal invoice and you can pay through Paypal, or use a credit or debit card if you don't have a Paypal account.

Features (AKA Tooting My Own Horn a Bit AKA Why You Should Buy A Pony)
These ponies are all completely one of a kind. There is no set pattern for eyes, cutie marks, and manes/tails, so each pony, even if the same character, will end up slightly different (though I will always strive for show accuracy to the absolute best of my ability).

I like to think that I have struck a nice balance between size and show accuracy. It is harder to make smaller amigurumi figurines with precise shapes (though sometimes large amigurumis become too rounded). I have put in lots of effort into making these ponies as show accurate as possible: I reworked the wing pattern countless times, I made prototype after prototype (all but one of them not photographed and uploaded), I even created a new stitch to give the back legs the right definition.

I have not seen any other posable amigurumi ponies available for purchase or commission.

100 USD may seem expensive, but when you consider the time and effort spend on each pony, not to mention the time and effort spent creating the pattern, I'm working for far below minimum wage.

How To Contact
You can comment on this journal, send me a note (zomgmad), or email me (zomgmad@gmail.com).

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have. If I think I question may be relevant to others, I will add it to this journal along with the answer.

If you are looking to purchase or inquire about a specific pony, please remember that the more information (especially visual) you can give me about the pony, the better. I don't know the vast majority of the background ponies off the top of my head. If you send me a full-body, color image of the pony and its cutie mark at the beginning, I will be able to tell you if I can make that pony or not much quicker than if I had to send a message back asking for clarification/more references, and then wait for your response, etc. Do not be afraid to send too many images (though feel free to just link to a folder in your gallery/favorites instead of attaching lots of images to an email or something).

Those are actually very well priced for ponies of that quality! I'll definitely be looking into ordering one!
